A
Tale of Two Witches (A Children's Poem)
Long, long ago in a deep dark forest, in a deep dark cave,
lived two cranky witches who often misbehaved.
One was round and fat and small
and
one was long and thin and tall.
Toad had lost almost all her teeth
and
Ratties skin had warts underneath.
Together they plotted an evil plan,
to
capture the people of the village town.
They set out eagerly on their wobbly
brooms,
flying through the night and over the moon.
“Are we nearly there yet?” Ratty
grumbled.
“Oh do shut up!” Toad mumbled.
As dawn arose they began to doze
and
did not notice a large bird until they heard...
CRASH BANG!! And fell
from the sky,
unable to fly.
Their heads fell through the roof of a
church
and upside-down their bottoms did perch.
The morning villagers saw the
sight
and laughed at the witches who began to fight.
“Who's stupid idea was this?” Toad
hissed.
“Not Mine.” Ratty emphatically did insist.
The town folk helpfully winched them
free
but still they argued continuously.
'Till finally they agreed on one thing
for sure,
their villager capturing plans where to be no more.
